Farah Khan danced her way from an award winning choreographer to a director becoming the first woman to be nominated for a Best Director Award.A choreographer, director, screenplay writer, story writer, actress... Farah Khan, the sparkling women in Bollywood is beyond descriptions. There are no phases of films left untouched by this daring skilled lady. Farah Khan is the hottest choreographer working in Bollywood today. Many of the 'moments' that we associate as iconographic to today's Bollywood cinema, namely specific dance moves and dance numbers were conceived from her imagination. Today she is the number one choreographer in India. Whether it is choreography or direction, Farah fuses the charisma of success to all her works. 

Farah Khan's father Kamran was a successful stunt film-maker. Her mother Menaka is of Zoroastrian origin and is the sister of screenwriter Honey Irani and former child actor Daisy Irani. Sajid Khan. Khan was studying sociology in St. Xavier's College, Mumbai when Michael Jackson's Thriller was telecast. She was so inspired, that although she hadn’t danced before that, it soon became her vocation. She learned to dance basically on her own, and set up a dance group.When the top choreographer of the time, Saroj Khan walked out of the film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Farah got her break, and this was her first film to choreograph. This was followed by many more songs which became national hits. She met actor Shahrukh Khan on the set of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and the two have since become good friends and started working together.

Farah Khan achieved international recognition with her work in Monsoon Wedding, Bombay Dreams and Vanity Fair. She was nominated for a 2004 Tony Award as Best Choreographer, along with collaborator Anthony van Laast, for Bombay Dreams. She has won the Filmfare Best Choreography Award five times. Farah Khan then went on to direct her first film Main Hoon NaFilmfare Best Director Award. As a director, her second movie Om Shanti Om became the highest grossing Hindi film of all time at its time of release. As a Director

Farah Khan’s directorial debut was MAIN HOON NA (2004), starring Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao and Suniel Shetty. Shah Rukh Khan produced the film. The masses and critics loved it. It was declared to be a super hit. For this film Farah was nominated for the Filmfare Award for best Director. She became the second woman to be nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Director.

Her second directorial venture was OM SHANTI OM (2007). It starred Shah Rukh Khan and was the debut vehicle of Deepika Padukone. OM SHANTI OM was the highest grossing Bollywood film of all times at the time of its release.

As an actor 

Farah Khan has appeared onscreen in JALWA (1987) as a background dancer. She has also made special appearances as herself in MAIN HOON NA (2004), OM SHANTI OM (2007), JAANE KAHA SE AYI HAI (2010) and upcoming movie ALWAYS KABHI KABHI (2012). She also played the role of an aggressive junior artist in OM SHANTI OM (2007). She made a special appearance in KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI (1998), as the woman on ‘The Neelam Show’.

                                                                   Razia al-Din (1205– October 14/15, 1240) throne name Jalâlat ud-Dîn Raziyâ   usually referred to in history as Razia Sultan , was the Sultan of Delhi in India from 1236 to May 1240. She was of Turkish Seljuks slave ancestry and like some other Muslim princesses of the time, she was trained to lead armies and administer kingdoms if necessary. Razia Sultana, the fifth Mamluk Sultan, was one of the few female sovereigns in the history of Islamic civilization. Wangari Muta Mary Jo Maathai (1 April 1940 – 25 September 2011) was a Kenyan environmental and political activist. She was educated in the United States at Mount St. Scholastica and the University of Pittsburgh, as well as the University of Nairobi in Kenya. In the 1970s, Maathai founded the Green Belt Movement, an environmental non-governmental organization focused on the planting of trees, environmental conservation, and women's rights.
